Igloo – Your New Purse was one of my most popular blogs. After talking with one of my friends the other day we thought it would be a good idea to re-use this post to remind everyone why these coolers are so important to your fat loss journey. You probably have kids returning to school and after school activities starting, so now is the time to really focus on YOUR eating habits and not allowing stress and hectic family schedules to be an EXCUSE to eat poorly.

After reading the post, come back here and comment about one of the following:

1. What do you pack in your cooler?

2. Did you start carrying a cooler and was it helpful?

3. Where did you buy your cooler?

4. What’s the most creative thing you have used your cooler for?

Anything you want to share about your cooler experience that might help others is welcome. Enjoy the talk!

_______________

Daily Workout: Back and Bi’s with trainer. We did 14 total sets of wide grip pulls, close grip pulls, and concentration curls. We were actually able to do the weight I was doing pre-surgery! Still no pulldowns but it is coming. I did some moderate intensity elliptical for 30 minutes prior to lifting. Normally I would do cardio afterwards but I had to allocate my time carefully. It’s better to do it than to skip it so I went for it beforehand.

Daily Food:

B – Fiber One with skim and 1 scrambled egg
S – Postwork Myoplex Light Vanilla Shake
L – Veggie Enchilada (Organic Cedar Lane) with homemade coleslaw
S – Apple and Peanut Butter (natural)
D – Spinach Salad with tuna, carrots and hummus
S – Fruit cup or Fage

  1. 1. What do you pack in your cooler? I pack my breakfast, which consists of a Thomas light english muffin and PB2 or oatmeal, and my lunch and snacks, which are usually a salad with some sort of protein, a hard boiled egg or string cheese, baby carrots, yogurt or cottage cheese and some sort of fruit to put my yogurt of cottage cheese on. I then have a Kashi Trail mix bar for my afternoon snack.

    2. Did you start carrying a cooler and was it helpful? YES!! I would be lost without it.

    3. Where did you buy your cooler? Target

    4. What’s the most creative thing you have used your cooler for? I wouldn’t say creative, but we use it for going to my son’s ball games. I always have drinks and snacks in it.

  2. 1. What do you pack in your cooler?

I pack it differently during the week than on the weekends. On the weekends it is more creative. I pack bottles of water for everyone, cut up fruit ( apples), peeled oranges or grapefruit, almonds, hard boiled egg, cereal bars (for the kids), cherrios ( baby). This will get us through our morning or afternoon errands.

    2. Did you start carrying a cooler and was it helpful?

YES- It keeps me from the drive thrus on the weekends when I am out and about. I have a deal with myself- if I must go through a drive through we have to finish all of the food in the cooler first. I have been carrying a cooler for almost 2 months and still have never finished everything.

    3. Where did you buy your cooler?

    Walmart

    4. What’s the most creative thing you have used your cooler for?

Diaper Bag. If its just the baby and I going out I throw in diapers, wipes, and a bottle along with my snacks.
