Today is one of those days where I’m so busy with work and life that I am squeezing it all in when I can. Many of us forget that a workout doesn’t have to be XXX amount of time at X o’clock. It can be thrown at your body all day in shorter bouts with higher intensities and that’s a GOOD THING! It keeps your body guessing because, hey, you usually don’t workout at these times. Short bouts spike the metabolism and that helps the body burn more calories throughout the day. You have more energy because you are constantly refueling and recovering. This means you can do two-twenty minute higher intensity workouts versus one moderately-high 40 minute session.
AM Weights Session: Chest (begin with one lap JOG around the gym)
Set One:
Push-up Challenge – Week Two with ab work thrown into the recovery intervals
Superset Two:
Cable crossovers
Single Arm DB Flies
Flat Bench Press
Superset Three:
DB Presses
Mountain Climbers
Leg In and Outs
Set Four:
Machine Flies to failure
Set Five:
Push-up Challenge again without ab work
Because my hip is giving me fits from the run yesterday, I didn’t add cardio intervals today.
Cardio One: 1:00 p.m. Turbo Jam 20 min.
I like this and will probably order the DVD for the longer version. I have done a VERY SIMILAR workout at my local gym. It’s a good change of pace.
Cardio Two: 4:00 p.m.
30 min. walk on incline with side shuffle intervals.
Daily Food Journal:
B – oatmeal with protein powder and banana
S – EAS Shake
L – Chicken Wrap (homemade) Soy Crisps and grapes
S – 3 oz. chicken and cantaloupe
S – Atkins Bar and water
D – Chicken Artichoke, snap peas, rice, green salad
S – Fiber One Bomb!
Look at that diet! My legs are talking to me about yesterday because I’m eating chicken like crazy today!!! Good protein; love it.

Corinne~I’m so glad you liked Turbo Jam. The gym version is Turbo Kick.

I have all the TJ workouts and have been using them as my cardio since April 2006. Still loving it!
I think you would really like the new ball workouts. It’s cardio intervals with a stability ball. Really changes the way you work your bod.
